Rachel Sagan
Rachel Sagan has dedicated her career to philanthropy, public interest law and non-profit management including extensive fund raising and strategic planning for non-profits and foundations. She has an expertise in major donor fundraising and women’s philanthropy. Her passions extend to protecting nature and the rights of women and girls. Sagan co-created a unique group in Boston dedicated to Women, Philanthropy and the Environment. It represents family and public foundations, private donors, board presidents, a former state senator and fund raising professionals. She has also chaired the national Board of Directors for the Brandeis University Women and Gender Studies Program. As the Executive Director of the Acton-Boxborough United Way, she works with agencies every day that are struggling to continue to serve people in need of basic safety net services such as housing, food and fuel and domestic violence services. Sagan has been responsible for fund raising when the economy has been strong, raising millions of dollars for conservation. When the recession hit our country, she raised the necessary funds to meet the needs of several non-profits.
